Shift Timings - Regular shift with early EST overlap: 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM IST
Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Test Engineer / Senior Test Engineer with strong expertise in Database and ETL Testing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in SQL, Retail/Supply Chain/Demand Forecasting domains, along with strong manual and API testing capabilities.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring data quality, validating ETL processes, executing end-to-end testing, identifying defects, and collaborating effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Database Testing and ETL Testing
- Excellent SQL skills for data validation and complex query execution
- Experience in Retail, Supply Chain, or Demand Forecasting domains
- Strong understanding of data validation, reconciliation, transformation, and ETL workflows
- Ability to analyze requirements and prepare comprehensive test scenarios and test cases
- Experience in defect identification, reporting, tracking, and closure.
Secondary Skills
- Strong experience in Manual Testing
- Experience in Web Application Testing
- Hands-on experience with API Testing
- Good understanding of functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing
- Excellent communication and client interaction skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and participate in client discussions
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute test cases for database and ETL processes
- Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading across source and target systems
- Write and execute complex SQL queries for data validation and reconciliation
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing
- Conduct Web and API testing as required
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to resolve issues
- Participate in requirement discussions and provide testing estimates and inputs
- Support client interactions and communicate testing status, risks, and issues effectively
- Ensure overall quality and accuracy of application and data deliverables
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 4+ years of relevant experience in software testing
- Strong expertise in Database and ETL Testing
- Excellent SQL knowledge
- Experience in Retail, Supply Chain, or Demand Forecasting projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working directly with clients and distributed teams
